Working groups enable us to gather and share information on practices and challenges on a given theme over the course of a year.
How does it work?
Each working group meets over the course of a year to share, in French, views about practices and challenges on a theme related to industrial safety on a national or European scale.
The group, made up of academic experts and representatives of the Foncsi’s sponsors and partners, is coordinated by one or two members of the Foundation’s scientific team.
It conducts a literature review and consults with academic and industrial experts.
'Foncsi 4' working groups
At the end of 2023, the Foncsi launched a new scientific program: 'Foncsi 4' (2023 to 2027).
Three working groups are scheduled:
- Stakeholders, participatory dynamics
- NaTech risks
- Safety-security
Results
The outcomes of each group’s work are distributed as widely as possible, in the freely-available industrial safety "Cahiers" collection.

This Foncsi collection showcases the results of all of the Foundation’s research work. The collection can be freely downloaded.
Depending on the theme, a working group may be established prior to the launch of a more comprehensive strategic analysis.
